After a long retirement we have decided to return to our roots and once again wage war on the battlefield.
For a long time there has been nothing new for Battlefield 2, but just recently a new MOD and ladder were announced which has bought some life back into the game. The Small Format Mod (SFM) makes a lot of changes to the game, including the movement physics, weapons and map layouts. And as the name suggests it also decreases the team sizes down to 6 vs 6, which has some drawbacks but makes it easier for teams to field a full squad for games. For more information on the new ladder visit www.cybergamer.com.au.
Sila have pulled together all the old school players we could find and have entered a team just for a bit of fun and casual competition.
In other news the sila Counter-Strike: Source team has finished 2nd overall in the first season of NCL Main. We have now entered the CG-o CS:S competition to keep us bussy, our first game is next Wednesday against Strapless.MELBOURNE on de_inferno. And we are also taking part in OGC Season 2 which should be kicking off within the next few weeks.

NCL Counter Strike:Source Season 1 kicked off last Sunday with a bang.
With over 20 teams entered spilt into 4 groups it should be a good season with plenty of competition and nail biting games.
Sila has been entered into the Main Pool after our respectable performance (for our first season of CS:S) in OGC Season 1 and have all ready proven our place taking out our first two games of the season 16-13 over eMerge and 16-14 over v3. However we are not taking this season too seriously and are just competing for a little bit of fun as most of our players are taking some well deserved rest over summer.
Due to some of our players being more inactive recently we have added two new players too our roster for this season of NCL, so I would like to welcome Jihad and Flake* to the team. Both players have a lot of experience in the Counter Strike series and should make a great addition to our team.
